When I'm passionate about something I start grabbing up books, magazines, articles, and anything else I can find to expand my knowledge. Below is a continuous list of dog books I think are worth reading.

Dog Sense: How the New Science of Dog Behavior Can Make You A Better Friend to Your Pet
by John Bradshaw
This is an excellent book that explains where the current science is on how dogs began, how they think, feel, learn, and observe the world and how this influences our ethical responsibilities as owners and breeders.

When Pigs Fly: Training Success with Impossible Dogs
by Jane Killion
If you have a dog that doesn't live to here its masters voice or even if you do, this book gives wonderful advice on how to motivate your dog to learn and work for you. There are no bad dogs, just dogs that haven't been shown clearly what we'd like.

Training Your Dog For Canine Sports
by Jill Firth
We follow training plans, eat the right foods and try to stay the right weight for our sports and activities. Don't we want the same for our canine companions. This short e-book takes sports medicine and exercise science and applies it to our athletic pets. I wish I got a massage after runs like the ones shown for dogs in this book!
